Water dialing for Espresso is almost impossible using conventional water recipes. With “Baca Drops”, testing different water recipes is much simpler. Instead of changing the hardness of the water in your espresso machine for every shot, you can just add concentrated hardness to the top of your puck before pulling a shot. Baca drops can help you fine tune your espresso when you’re happy with your other dialing parameters.

With it, the beanconqueror app, and a smart scale, I can record full pressure and output profiles. Pressure profiles are recorded using the Popsicle, a custom built bluetooth pressure transducer designed by Mike and Shay. The Popsicle uses a commonly available automotive pressure transducer coupled to a bluetooth capable board and custom battery management software.
