What an excellent game. The movement was unique and satisfying—giving a good amount of expression without making it tedious to control. The cutscenes were often funny, and the plot got heavier—in a good way—than I expected.

I wish I hadnt given up on box hell, but I think I would have had to circle back around, and Im not about that. Very tempting to jump off after that Mike cutscene though. Maybe if I hadnt plummeted down that route like 4 times before. Baby Steps [4] Get Knocked Down](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/WHzzvS33eaE/mqdefault.jpg)
![Quake Brutalist Jam III [12] Taken to School
Whenever I play a Quake or Doom map, theres always the question of how much do I cheese this. When I jumped back out of range in the first map, or plinking away at enemies in the second. Its a balance of my read of the authors intent vs. trying to get one over on the map author. Ill sometimes do a less optimal play of the game if I know its what the designer wants. Unless its a vore in which case Ill snipe it from a distance.
Theres something kind of refreshing about the second map in this. Thats not to say that maps of the first type of bad, theyre, by any real metric, great, and I do enjoy it, but theres also something nice about hey I think its cool to blow up enemies so heres four shamblers in a fight where you just cant lose too. The default pistol rounds are just so puny. Also, I thought the red boxes were connected but they didnt seem to be, so thats going to be fun. Dino Crisis [4] Better Down Than Up](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Wk4zvkevG9Q/mqdefault.jpg)

Its been 4 days since I last played this but it feels like longer. If I didnt know I was pretty close to the end, I wouldve just dropped this. Doom: The Dark Ages [16] Aggadondoned](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/WrkZipcODV4/mqdefault.jpg)
