This time, I didn’t fire up GoatTracker…
I fired up FL Studio.
No SID chip. No 3 channels.
Instead: heavy drums, distorted synths, metallic textures and pure pressure.
This track goes straight into Electro / Industrial territory — inspired by the legendary energy of Frank Klepacki and the iconic pulse of 19 by Paul Hardcastle.
It’s rhythmic.
It’s mechanical.
It feels like machinery powering up before the first command is given.
Sometimes you need the raw limits of the C64.
And sometimes you need full control, modern synths, and room to push the low end until it shakes the walls.
No chiptune this time.
Just industrial energy.

Men are here from Bumblebee in Transformers (2007).
Legends are here from OG Kill Bill.
That was an actual YouTube comment under the orginal music video and honestly… it perfectly sums up the journey of this iconic track.
Originally composed by Tomoyasu Hotei, Battle Without Honor or Humanity became legendary through Kill Bill: Volume 1, later appeared in Transformers, and eventually even found its way into Fortnite. (any many other as well, Super Mario Bros, Shrek 3)
But today… it travels back in time.
This is my 8-bit C64 SID interpretation, created in Goattracker and recorded on a real Commodore 64 using the 8580 SID chip — no emulation, no plugins, just raw hardware.
Turning such a bold, guitar-driven anthem into a 3-channel SID arrangement is always a challenge. The original thrives on attitude, groove and punch — so the goal was not just to recreate it, but to translate its energy into authentic 8-bit form.
From Tarantino coolness to 80s silicon.
Which generation are YOU from?
