The SID scene is full of incredibly talented composers, yet much of this music never reaches an audience beyond the demoscene itself.
This video brings together all 25 entries from the X 2026 Demoparty Music Competition, presented in the official competition order from #25 to #1.
Whether you're a longtime Commodore 64 fan or discovering SID music for the first time, I hope this compilation introduces you to some amazing composers and inspires you to explore this unique community.
I also took part in this year's competition and was honored to finish in 14th place.
A huge congratulations to every musician who entered. Competitions like these continue to push the SID chip in new and exciting directions, proving that this legendary 3-voice synthesizer still has plenty of surprises left nearly 45 years after its release.

Legends are here from OG Kill Bill.
That was an actual YouTube comment under the orginal music video and honestly… it perfectly sums up the journey of this iconic track.
Originally composed by Tomoyasu Hotei, Battle Without Honor or Humanity became legendary through Kill Bill: Volume 1, later appeared in Transformers, and eventually even found its way into Fortnite. (any many other as well, Super Mario Bros, Shrek 3)
But today… it travels back in time.
This is my 8-bit C64 SID interpretation, created in Goattracker and recorded on a real Commodore 64 using the 8580 SID chip — no emulation, no plugins, just raw hardware.
Turning such a bold, guitar-driven anthem into a 3-channel SID arrangement is always a challenge. The original thrives on attitude, groove and punch — so the goal was not just to recreate it, but to translate its energy into authentic 8-bit form.
From Tarantino coolness to 80s silicon.
