There's a perception that we're somehow going backwards in terms of ambition and engineering. We went to the moon in the 60's and never again since. We flew supersonic on the Concorde decades ago, but have no such option today. But there's good news, like with SpaceX or Blue Origin, we're seeing the rise of private companies picking up where governments left off.

Boom Supersonic just completed the final supersonic flight test on their demonstrator XB-1 Aircraft and it was really amazing. Believe it or not we'll be flying supersonic again, and there's some really fascinating parts of this story we have to talk about.
