In recent weeks, #RFS helicopters have been called on to support multiple flooding and search and rescue operations alongside other agencies. To help maintain and enhance their skills, our pilots and aviation rescue crews participate in realistic training exercises throughout the year.
Most recently, our members worked alongside Coulson Aviation for essential training and recertification in Jindabyne and Perisher, in the state's south. The event allowed them to practice water winching, collaborate with other emergency services and face the unique challenges of alpine operations.
