Tibarn was one of the units that got really saved in this series from the last series' stats. Since Tibarn has a 10% growth in his Skl, it was going to be the worst stat that a unit would have in the series. However, since I decided to do the max between the old series and this new series, it really patched up his Skl to a reasonable level. He was also the beneficiary of a boost to his Skl in the patch last year which boosted it up to 56 from 50. This was important because he is the only unit with Pavise in RD which procs off of, you guessed it, Skl. This gives him a little over a 50/50 chance to just negate all damage done to him which is important because of how bad his Res is and the fact that he is weak to Wind and Bows. Tibarn is also one of the bulkiest physical units in the series with his 91 HP and 66(!) Def which I always seem to forget about. The unfortunate part about it is that if a physical unit has access to swords, the Tempest Blade rips him a new one and any unit who has access to bows/crossbows will give him fits as well. Tibarn does have access to Renewal as well which gives him a decent amount of healing per turn because of his high HP. However, it doesn't help him out too much in the fights just because of the sheer amount of effective weapons work against him. So, his main strategy, as you can tell from all of this, is to really rely on that 56% chance to bail him out. And if he gets a chance to counterattack, he does a boatload of damage and has a mastery skill that auto-kills because of how high his Str is.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
