Irelandscapes | Autumn Beach Life Portstewart Strand - Relaxing Irish landscape Scenery @Irelandscapes | Uploaded January 2021 | Updated October 2024, 13 minutes ago.
October 2020 - a unique angle on beach walkers from the sea perspective, capturing the energy of the sea, experienced by local folk who walk the shoreline daily at Portstewart Town Strand on the Atlantic Coast of N Ireland.
You can walk from here all the way to the town esplanade on a coastal path and the high path at the Convent will offer commanding views over the sea. Watch out for pods of dolphins and porpoises there. A very friendly town with cafes, restaurants, walks and a cosy harbour. Flanked by the coastal tip at Mussenden Temple and another superb Atlantic beach at Castlerock, there is plenty here for walkers and history lovers. The far end of this Strand beach is marked by the Barmouth - the estuary of the River Bann, famed for it's Salmon. Excuse a little camera wobble here and there - it was a fresh day!
