This clockwork automaton has distinctive red shoes and a wooden jointed body along with a slightly grotesque expression. It is these features that identify it as German, by a maker called Muller. It is of a long duration and could have been designed for a shop counter or window.
If anyone has more information on this maker I would love to know more.
This automaton has an uncanny resemblance to the American Jazz Cellist 'Rushadicus' although it predates his birth by a 100 years.
