Automated Tire recently launched its new autonomous tire changing system in North American. The novel feature on the system is that it removes the old tire, replaces it with fresh rubber, and balances the tire, all without removing the wheel from the vehicle. The system also completes two tires on the vehicle at a time, reducing the time to service four new tires from 1 hour (manual) to 30 mins (SmartBay). In addition, 1 operator can manage 3 SmartBays, improving the throughput for 1 operator from 4 tires per hour (1 bay) to 24 tires (3 bays) per hour.
