This latest video from Boston Dynamics shows the Atlas electric humanoid robot doing real work autonomously. The robot uses machine learning to execute it's tasks, leveraging 3D vision to perceive the world around the robot.
In the video, Atlas shows some unique motions including turning its head with a range of motion beyond that of a human, and walking backwards with its hip joint turned 180 degrees, while the torso rotates mid-motion to orient itself for the next operation.
