A tour of the Automata Exhibits prior to opening an exhibition at Nairn Museum in Scotland.
Maria tests all the interactive exhibits. Unique to The House of Automata, the public could actually wind and operate an 1890s Rabbit in a Cabbage, an 1880s Rocking Ship as well as a 1950s triple singing bird in cage, (they did not break!). The exhibition was held in the autumn of 2016 and was a smaller version of our normal travelling exhibition without the life sized 'Nancy the Breathing Lady'. Visitors came in huge numbers and the lovely staff baked me an automaton cake.
