Today being Christmas Eve, this is my third and final offering for the UK Autoharps Christmas Advent Calendar.
This song is a translation of a lovely German carol, "Am Weinachtsbaum die Lichter brennen". It was translated by Ruth Heller, a children's author and graphic artist known for her use of bright colour and detail in both geometric design and the representation of creatures,plants, patterns, and puzzles. She translated songs and carols from all around Europe in a collection called: "Christmas, Its Carols, Customs and Legends" published by Schmitt, Hall and Mc Creary, a division of Belwin-Mills Publishing Corp.
