Navigating communication as an autistic professional is a full-time job in itself.

Behind every polished post or articulate sentence, there’s a draft folder full of rewrites, a mind working overtime to decode unspoken rules, and the lingering fear of being misunderstood—again.

I’ve lost jobs, clients, and opportunities not because I lacked skill, but because the world often mistakes clarity for coldness, precision for rigidity, and honesty for arrogance. But here’s what they miss: my brain doesn’t just think differently—it communicates differently.

Autistic people deserve more than just acceptance. Society needs to recognize that ‘professional’ communication isn’t one-size-fits-all. I’m learning to trust my voice, even when the world hears it ‘wrong’.

Progress over perfection. And always, always, drafting that one more email.
