This video is of the Aurora that occurred on January 13 and 14th 2023 taken from near Karasjok in Norway. Most of the video is real time - not timelapse. This was a particularly beautiful aurora that had many colours including the usual green but also many reds, purples and yellows.
It was shot with a Sony FX3 with the 24mm GM lens and a Sony FX30 with a Sigma 20mm f1.4 lens.
I run tours to see the Northern lights every year and help people see the Aurora for themselves, this was a very happy tour group!
00:00 The cabins at Gardinii we stay at.
00:30 Sunset
00:41 Early evening Aurora (time-lapse) - shot with Sony FX30 on DJI-RS2
01:15 Aurora strengthens - real-time video, not time-lapse - shot with Sony FX3 and 24mm GM
01:48 Overhead Aurora (real time).
03:20 1am, moon rise and Aurora weakens shot with FX30 and Sigma 20mm using S&Q 8 frames per second.
