Looking at an Aurora 8-Sheet Strip Cut shredder I've had for over ten years (according to the Amazon order). As the capacity implies it handles up to a maximum of eight sheets of standard 20lb paper cut in a 1/4 inch strip pattern. It features a separate slot for shredding CDs and uses a three-position switch for control with a manual forward button (for the CD shredding). If the shredder becomes overloaded or overheated it will go into protection mode requiring some time for the motor to cool down and reset before it can be used again.
