Summary:
As a kid, most of us knew that the words... “We’ll see," "I’ll think about it," and "maybe later,” were basically gentle, parental code words for “No!” Congregations have similar phrases such as, “We’ve tried that before," or "it will cost too much,” or "that's not the way we do it here." When change is being proposed, some people in organizations often respond with fear. Their “what if” questions can paralyze a community from making decisions that could be truly beneficial and even transformational. So, what if our default position was, “yes.” What if we adopted a “Ministry of Yes” in our decision making which asks us first to list the opportunities presented by change, rather than the potential pitfalls? Join us and consider the powerful starting point called "yes."
