In this video we are road testing the 2020 carbon black Audi RS6 from a parents perspective, including practicality for child seats. There is a lot to love about this car but the mild hybrid 48v system in the real world just doesn't work as it was sold to customers. I am sure it meant they could pass emissions regulations when new but as these cars age is it really advisable having the wonderful 4.0L V8 turbocharged petrol engine, stop and start all the time? Then theres the fact the BSG belt starter generator issue... These RS6s are still legendary but is in my opinion proof that new doesn't mean better anymore thanks to ever tightening European emission regulations.
This car has a Milltek valve controller which can lock the exhaust valves open. The paddles are JQ werks Madtrace magnetic shifters, the entire unit is replaced not just the padel (which is why they’re satisfyingly clicky)
Audi Uk have a 7 year extended warranty in place for the BSG part. Problem is many dealerships are not aware of it so you have to do your research.
