Before you @ me in the comments, now that I spent some time re-reading dialogue, it seems more likely to be a stereotypical German accent they gave to Athena. My linguistic history escapes me, but despite sounding vaguely similar to the untrained ear I'm not fully certain what, if any, Slavic connections the German language has.
All this to say that discussing Athena's accept roots is probably more interesting than discussing anything about this map as a whole.
