Do you practice late go arounds?
Here’s a great example of why I capture flights for debriefing.
It’s been a while since I’ve flown this airplane and reviewing the footage is highly valuable for studying normal operations and if anything was out of the ordinary.
I’m happy with how I handled that late call from #ATC to Go Around when I was nearly committed to land, but it could have ended badly if I wasn’t on top of it.
I’m curious to hear community feedback on this.
Note: This flight was from before I got my helmet, and I’m wearing a “naked” Bose A20 headset - The ANR does well in all phases of flight in this airframe, except for take off when the power setting is max RPM and those prop tips are breaking the sound barrier out there.
