Talking Tech visits Asus at Computex 2026, where Director of Technical Marketing Sasha Krohn gives a tour across consumer, business, and gaming devices. The new VivoBook S14/S16 (2026) bring all-metal designs, full I/O, and Intel Core Series 3 (codenamed Wildcat Lake) processors running at 30W for snappy performance and great battery life. The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 adds a convertible all-metal chassis, OLED touchscreen, garaged stylus, dual webcams with privacy shutters, Thunderbolt, and EMI-shielded memory.
The ROG Strix Scar 18 (2026) pushes performance with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus based on Arrow Lake Refresh and an RTX 5090. They’re cooled by a massive vapor chamber and liquid metal, and the system is capable of giving them a combined 320W of sustained power. You also get a new 1600‑nit mini‑LED HDR display and tool‑less upgrades.
Asus Senior Product Marketing Manager Jesse Chen shows us the new ROG NUC 16 lineup (black, white, and limited edition 20) that offers Core Ultra 9 power based on Panther Lake, RTX 5080/5090 graphics options, and triple‑fan cooling. These small-form-factor systems can fit up to 8 TB of storage, 128 GB of RAM, and feature a clever stand for vertical or horizontal orientations. Jesse also details more conventional NUC 16 designs with smaller footprints and Intel Core Series 3 processors, including a version tailored for Windows 365.
We wrap with Asus Motherboard Product Manager Alice Shih, who shows off the TUF Gaming Z890 BTF WiFi 7 motherboard for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus processors. The board features rear‑mounted connectors for clean builds, multiple M.2 slots, PCIe High‑Power GPU support, Wi‑Fi 7, 2.5GbE, and dual Thunderbolt.
