Here's my cover of "Ark Mall" from Astral Chain. Rather than covering just the ambient track or the combat phase track, I did both in one arrangement. This was my first time using my new 8-string, so let me know what you think!

Holy shit, I've been working on this cover for a long time. I started the arrangement back in like September or October of 2019. I originally tried to play it on my 6-string Ibanez in drop F# (drop B with the B changed to an F#), but that didn't stay in tune too well.

I recently got this new 8-string (Ibanez RG8 standard), so I was able to easily record all the parts while staying in tune and sounding good (imo). I recorded all the guitar parts before spring break, but I had to record bass (on the 8-string lol), mix, master, record video, etc. at my parents' place in Mississippi. It was a little weird doing all of that away from the studio, but it worked out I guess.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, but I think ya boi's back to 30 fps. I've been doing 24 for a long time now and I like it a lot, but I think 30 works better with the wacky lighting I like to do. I'm not entirely sure yet, but I'll probably be sticking with 30 fps for the next couple of months.
