What lessons can be learnt from the devastating storms that have hit the Southwest of England over the winter?

Winter storms have a huge impact on coastal communities, flooding homes and businesses and severing railway lines. A GPS survey orchestrated by Plymouth University is assessing the height of the beach to assess changes, erosion and the rate of recovery.

In this video, Gerd Masselink and Paul Russell of Plymouth University talk about the work they're doing to assess the impacts of some of the worst winter #storms on record on the communities and coastlines of southwest England.
