I spent the afternoon speaking and teaching frisbee to students at Fairholme School, part of the Fairholme Colony in Manitoba, Canada.
This was my first time at a colony school and it was a great experience! I enjoyed learning more about how they use technology to enhance learning, their robust physical education program, which exposes kids of all ages to as many activities as possible including basketball, baseball, skiing, snowshoeing, and hockey (both indoors and on their outdoor rink).
I left an XDISC and a Dodgebee with the PE teacher and hope to help them start a Frisbee Club, establishing school records, and contributing to their school community through my messages of physical literacy, resiliency, kindness, and self-awareness.
