Sam Levinson was all over the news a couple weeks ago because of his super-secret project with Zendaya and John David Washington, Malcolm & Marie; that inspired me to see his 2018 sophomore feature Assassination Nation, which I hadn't seen in a year or so. And you can tell from the runtime of this video that it sure did make me think about a lot of things... and to be sure, this could have been a whole lot longer. But 6000 words seemed like enough.
Also, spoilers, obviously. I don't go really deep into any particular aspect of the story, and there's a whole that I don't cover... but like, you don't make a 40 minute video about a movie without mentioning a few plot details.
