Japan at War | Asano Brigade | Imperial Japan's White Russian Soldiers @JapanatWar | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
The Asano Brigade is a piece of history that often goes ignored. After the Bolshevik Revolution the White Russians fled Russia. Many of them would relocate in Manchuria, later renamed Manchukuo. Considering many of them were former soldiers they found work in the new Imperial Manchurian Army.
Imperial Japan, who had helped formed Manchukuo's government, thought these men were wasted in the army and reformed them into the Asano Brigade
