"I spent the majority of my 20s in two back-to-back relationships, which is the greatest way to spend your youth. But I became single for the first time at 29, and became single in the dating scene in LA, which was like 'Woah! Has anyone else seen what’s going on in here, ‘cause it’s pretty terrible.'
Some of these dates I was going on and experiences I was having with people that were not OK. They were so dehumanizing. I had a one-night stand with a guy, and once he came, he asked me to leave his apartment while he was still inside of me.
And I thought these were such ridiculous inhumane experiences that I wanted to talk about them so I started doing a lot of stand up about that.
After every set, women always come up to me and say, “You were hilarious and so brave. I can’t believe that you had the guts to say that.” And humor is a great way to get people to listen to your opinion while having a laugh over a shitty date at the same time."
