$Artificial/Artistic Chaos - A meditation about fractals @ArthurStammet$

This movie, with the original german title "Künstl(er)isches Chaos" has been created for the eviMus 2020 Festival for contemporary music and had been auditioned with a live performance during the opening concert at October 29th 2020 in Saarbrücken (Germany).

The music has been composed by Arthur Stammet, using sounds played on several instruments by Hasan Hüseyin Talaz and Daniel Osorio melted into a large electronic environment created by Arthur Stammet with a bunch of (software-) synthesizers using granular synthesis.

The film is a long meditation about chaos and complex structures which may be found in the universe, mathematical formulas and their permutations, fractal worlds and on earth.

Three types of digital footage have been combined for this movie: a meteor fileld created with Visions of chaos, two rotating bots made with Groboto and a fractal world rendered in Mandelbulb 3D. All these elements have been brought together and layered in Premiere and mastered with some Filmora effects. The soundtrack is an electronic composition, produced by the author in november 2014. Its title Die Elements (The elements) describes what it is about: the four elements (fire, wind, water and earth), explored acoustically while one of our bots flies through the fractal heart of a meteor, expecting to be able to join its lost partner, missed since the initial collision.$

$Resonant Shapes - Mandelbulb 3D and SpaceEngine Movie This movie represents a crazy ride through sounding fractal shapes and our Galaxy. This flight being only possible in digitally generated worlds/contexts, the cinematic look, chosen for its presentation, tries to join our human approach to this subject: the beginning of the film has a vintage touch, coming with distorted black and white footage showing an impossible scene, which couldnt have been filmed, rendered in Mandelbulb 3D and giving life to a little part of the Universe existing in one only simple mathematical formula. Another impossible flight leads us through the Miky Way Galaxy, an easy task for the SpaceEngine simulator. The third impossible part of this movie is the soundtrack, realized with algorithmically created sequences based on the orbit of one only Mandelbrot point: -0.564483+0.459912i.
