Created for FIFA World Cup 2026™ by ARTS 14C, The Art of the Game is an open-air museum and public sculpture trail celebrating the global spirit of the World Cup in New York City and New Jersey.
The series transforms the world’s most recognized symbol of sport into a series of monumental public sculptures by 23 internationally recognized artists.
Brooklyn-based artist, Matthew Day Jackson created the artwork you see on the six-foot tall soccer ball sculpture installed on the Iris Cantor Plaza in front of the Museum.
