It's been how long since I've uploaded a substantial video? December of 2023 you say??
I've done quite a bit in the 2 and a half years since I last truly uploaded. Highlights (maybe also some low-lights but things that made for good stories) were:
- I lived in Europe for 2 months on accident
- played double bass on the world premiere of an opera
- was hired to play double bass in the pit for a world-class production of The Nutcracker
- adopted a dog
- moved houses 3 times in the course of a summer
- broke my foot (I have no idea how, I literally woke up one morning and it was broken) and then had to have surgery to remove an entire bone from it
- got to meet some of the biggest names from the 2014-2016 era of Kinztube
- got a job as an elementary school music teacher
- completed my bachelor's in music education
- moved to a different state
I guess I'm a real adult now. So why the Kinztube video? Well a) I'm still recovering from the surgery to fix my foot :') It's my right foot which means I haven't been able to drive, so I've been kind of cooped up and needed something to do. b) Because this channel and the videos I've made will always mean something to me. c) Young The Giant's new album goes crazy. I saw their opening show of the tour and have plans to go a second time.
