Hey everyone, quick health update for you. The good news: most of my pain has subsided and I'm in a genuinely good place mentally right now. Thank you to everyone who's been reaching out to check on me, it means more than you know.
In this video I'm walking through two upcoming surgeries: a second bilateral inguinal hernia repair on 9/15 (which may go from minimally invasive to fully open depending on scar tissue and existing mesh), and a fifth metatarsal exostectomy with osteotomy on my foot on 10/6. I also get into why inguinal hernias are so common in men, how my leg and hip history may have contributed to the foot issue, and an update on my shoulders, which are getting reevaluated on 9/23 after my right one started getting worse.
As always, thanks for following along on this journey with me. Surgery count is climbing, but so is my sense of humor about it.
