So... Where Have I Been?
Okay real talk, my body basically staged a full mutiny this summer and I had no choice but to deal with it off camera.
First up: an old inguinal hernia repair decided it wasn't done with me and came back for round two. Cue weeks of doctor visits, imaging, and one ER trip that felt like a scavenger hunt just to get someone to actually look at the right spot. Good news is I've got surgery locked in for early September to finally close this chapter for good.
As if that wasn't enough, my foot decided to grow its own little bonus bone (yes, that's a real thing, an ossicle, thanks anatomy) and it has been throwing a tantrum every time I walk. I'm in the "let's see if babying it works before anyone brings out a scalpel" phase.
And on top of all that, my family had a scary health emergency. A long way to go but things are looking up.
So basically I've spent the last few weeks feeling like a walking medical drama. Back to regular programming soon, assuming nothing else decides to fall apart first.
