This is me asking the question on whether short stories are inherently less commercial than novels, simply by the fact that they are short story collections?
It's something that I wondered while thinking about Harlan Ellison's critical popularity and general respect - mixed with almost everything being out of print and his books being so hard to get.

I'd love to know your thoughts on what I'm saying here in the video.
I kept it to science fiction, mostly, as making it more general would open a huge can of worms that I wouldn't do justice.
