Todd Hido explains how, much like a paintbrush, the camera is simply a tool to depict a scene. Todd also touches base on how much of his work has been done with film, so finding a camera that keeps the same look, digitally, has been a bit of a process for him. Despite this, Todd continues to make some really, really engaging landscape work, none of which is staged. He is truly the definition of a wandering photographer. He also mentions how he likes to photograph like a documentarian, but print like a painter, which I really like.
