Available Apple Home Key compatible smart locks is growing and Aqara has a less-expensive version that their previous U100, it’s the U50! The U50 has most of the bells and whistles of the pricier sibling and just omits the fingerprint reader. Does the lower-price point equal poor performance. NOPE. I’ve been using U50 for about a couple months and how does it stack up against U100? Does Matter compatibility via the Hub M3 add anything to the lock? Let’s dive right in and find out.
