Every Wednesday, our Horticulture team partners with dedicated volunteers to care for the Kathrine G. McGovern Texas Wetlands—keeping this vital ecosystem clean, healthy, and welcoming for wildlife.
From spotted sunfish and minnows to herons, dragonflies, chicken turtles, and bullfrogs, the wetlands are full of life. This habitat also provides important food and shelter for migratory birds and butterflies that pass through Houston on their journeys.
