This is it—the moment everything comes together! In this tutorial, we're connecting your Google OAuth Client ID to Lovable Cloud and building a complete user authentication system. By the end, users will be able to sign up and log in to your app using their Google accounts. 🎉
What You'll Learn:
✅ How to enable Lovable Cloud and set up your database
✅ Configuring authentication settings in Lovable
✅ Connecting your Google Client ID and Client Secret
✅ Publishing your OAuth app for public use
✅ Testing the complete sign-up and login flow
✅ Understanding callback URLs and authorized redirect URIs
⚠️ COMMON ISSUES & SOLUTIONS:
"Invalid redirect URI" error:
→ Make sure the Callback URL from Lovable exactly matches what you entered in Google Cloud (including https://)
"App not published" error:
→ Go back to Google Cloud → Audience → Publish App
"Client ID not found" error:
→ Double-check you copied the entire Client ID and Secret with no extra spaces
Users can sign up but data doesn't save:
→ This is expected! You need to build data persistence features separately (covered in future videos)
Can't find the Cloud button in Lovable:
→ Make sure you're on the app development screen, not the chat screen
💡 Important Notes:
Security Best Practices:
-Never share your Client Secret publicly
-Store credentials in a secure password manager
-Only add legitimate redirect URIs to prevent phishing
-Regularly review who has access to your Google Cloud project
