Many scientific institutions present an atheistic view of the universe as settled scientific fact. Yet a significant portion of the world’s population does not accept that conclusion.

In 1968, Apollo 8 became the first manned mission to orbit the Moon. As the spacecraft circled the lunar surface, the astronauts delivered a message heard around the world. Their words began with a powerful passage from Genesis:
“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.”

Today, many question the very existence of God. But history reminds us that some of the greatest scientists who ever lived believed in a Creator. According to the book of Genesis, God formed everything—including mankind—in the beginning, and “behold, it was very good.”
