I thought I did a video when the de-soldering gun lost suction. So when I did Part 2 (the update) I couldn't find the video and thought I deleted it by mistake. Well tonight I ran across that video.

Now you can see just how much the ceramic filters captures as I remove the canister to replace the filter.

The ceramic tape I used was original purchased for wrapping 3D Printer Hot Ends, but worked great for this also. This link will take you to the part, you may be able to find it with the same specs in a smaller roll. The dimensions are 1/16" inch Thick by 1" inch wide.

This is for the 50 foot roll, they sell it also in a 25 foot roll but it was cheaper for the 50 ft roll. Then choose product number 87575K84

The main properties that are important are, you might be able to get away with 800° F (426° C) to 1000 ° F (537 ° C), the ceramic tape I have is rated for -50° to 2300° F (1,260 ° C)
