Not enough children in Western Australia are being immunised prompting a new government initiative to inform parents of the benefits. Doctors stress the importance of protection against dangerous infectious diseases with immunisation.
However the anti-vaccination lobby seeks to deter parents from immunising their children. University of Wollongong student Judy Wilyman believes healthy eating and hygiene are enough to keep children healthy and that more exposure to any infectious disease makes the disease less virulent.
