I was on a mission to get my #AFPeeps wet! I took them to Antelope Point Marina on the Navajo Nation where there is a decent restaurant right on the water and an excellent floating swimming pool. The water level is so low that most people opt for the free golf cart shuttle service. Here is our ride.
Unfortunately, the floating pool was closed due to an invasive mussle infestation. So after lunch, I took the remaining AFPeeps to the Chains swimming area. It was a blast!
If you watched the video already you'll notice everyone walks and drives backwards at Lake Powell. Okay, you're smarter than that. Here's the scoop...
Video Notes: I was riding in the back of the golf cart as we left the marina but I thought the view would be more impressive if the video was "approaching" the marina, not departing. Here is how I edited the video.
1. Split the audio from the video.
2. Reverse the video at 100% speed.
3. Move the section of the audio that reference the "water level" for accuracy.
4. Fade audio overlays to mask the move.
5. Amuse yourself wondering at what point viewers realize the video is actually playing in reverse. (Sometimes I only amuse me.)
