11 dead in a skydiving plane crash in France — and it's the second one in two weeks.
On June 28, 2026, a single-engine Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter went down shortly after takeoff from Nancy-Essey Airport, coming down near a commercial area in Tomblaine, just outside Nancy in northeastern France. All 11 on board — one pilot, five instructors, and five first-time tandem students — were killed. No one on the ground was hurt. France's accident investigators, the BEA, have opened the case. No cause has been determined.
Just two weeks earlier, on June 14, 2026, a skydiving plane crashed after takeoff in Butler, Missouri, killing 12. The two are not known to be connected, and no cause has been named for either — but two deadly jump-plane crashes in fourteen days is a pattern worth watching.
