Set in 2037 in Nakano, Tokyo, the story follows Pollon Takaoka and his best friend, Cross Yumikawa, who make a living as professional hackers. They operate in areas unaffected by the Sad Morning disaster that struck on February 6th, 2036.
Pollon suddenly announces his intention to elope, despite being single. His plans take an unexpected turn when he encounters a mysterious girl named Momo in a place where no one is supposed to be.
Their meeting quickly becomes dangerous as mysterious assailants begin pursuing Momo. During their escape, Pollon receives a Save & Load app that lets him save and restart events like a video game. Little does he know, this is just the start of a much larger adventure.
Pollon soon finds himself entangled with the enigmatic hacker Cicada 3301, who orchestrates a series of seemingly unsolvable quests. Meanwhile, the Gaia Institute has reactivated an Earth simulation that was meant to remain dormant, and the Vatican's 513 Holy Office is working in the shadows.
As Pollon delves deeper into these complex plots following his encounter with Momo, he faces a world-altering event. What truth will he uncover through hacking, saving, and reloading?
