A new chapter for a Utah classic.
We’re honored to share that Singletrack is now the owner and race director of the Antelope Island Buffalo Run — a race that has meant so much to the Salt Lake trail running community for the past two decades.
For 20 years, Jim Skaggs built this event into something special. His care, consistency, and love for the community shaped the Buffalo Run into the race so many of us grew up running, crewing, and cheering at. We’re deeply grateful for the trust he’s placed in us to carry it forward.
📅 Mark your calendars:The 2026 Antelope Island Buffalo Run will take place on March 28, 2026 — the fourth weekend of March, as it always has.
Our goal is simple: honor the race’s history while thoughtfully building its future. Same island. Same spirit. A few new ideas — all rooted in respect for what’s come before.
