I'm going on hiatus/vacation from YouTube starting now until I can get my health back in under me.
YouTube causes me more stress than you can imagine. I average 40 video comments, 8 PMs, and 5 profile comments a day. That's more than what LeBron James can do in a game, consistently.
What most people don't realize is that I have a life. I didn't fake MY age when I came to YouTube - I really am 18 years old, and I have a job, too. And hobbies and a bunch of other stuff, too!!
I need a break, bad, or who knows what will happen to me.
I will be back, I just don't have an exact date.
Until then, most video comments will be disabled or Friends Only, and you won't be seeing me much around here. I also will NOT be taking ANY WIFI BATTLE OR TRADE REQUESTS OR PRACTICALLY ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
The stress that comes from YouTube is several things. First is that huge message overload. It can take 2 hours or longer to go through all that crap. And not all of that crap is good crap.
I guarantee that over half of the comments are from people who can't see the truth in front of their eyes, specifically they are asking a question that is clearly answered in the video or video description - this is just one of the things that boils my blood and WILL stop because I'm going to put a stop to it.
In that same half are usually people who generally dislike what the video is about, specifically, trolls and jackasses who don't have anything better to do but pick on others for fun.
In it's own half, I usually get my fair share of comments of "UR A CHEATER", to which I promptly say F. you.
I'm tired of that message as are the rest of the real shiny hunters. All of my Pokemon are legit, and they kick ass.
In the other half, however, are all the GOOD comments I get. Those are very nice, but the bad outweighs the good. I'm already riled up just thinking about it... which is bad.
Which means there are changes coming to my channel. The soonest you'll see them are that on my older videos, only friends can comment, or commenting has been disabled altogether.
I may make my PMs and profile comments Friends Only as well, much like Marriland has. (But I won't be as rejectful as he)
All of the stress I receive from YouTube and a bunch of other stuff, along with lack of exercise, has given me heart trouble. I still think it's early enough to where I can turn things around, so please, DON'T GO CRAZY WITHOUT ME. I'll be fine, and you should be too. But I advocate good health. Get outside. Go play. Walk. Walk at least 30 minutes a day.
I'm not terribly overweight. Only about 20 lbs. (I used to weigh a lot more years ago)
But it just goes to show even fit people can have heart problems, and routine exercise, even if it's just walking, will help you.
I have high blood pressure problems.
And please, don't tell me what to do or what I need to do. I already have a plan set.
When will I return? I don't know. When I get healthier, I suppose.
I'm still going to be around, mind you. I'll even upload a video or two.
I just don't want to be on YouTube (or online at all for that matter) for much time at all.
It's to save my life, really, and I hope you can do the same.
