Often I am asked how I annotate my books. Annotating The Count of Monte Cristo really helped enhance my reading experience, and ultimately this became my favorite book of all time! Classic books always intimidated me but breaking it down this way made it a lot more manageable for me. I also learned some really cool things along the way.

I guess I just assumed everyone knows the plot of this book so I didn't go too much into it, but I should have.
Edmund Dantes has everything going for him: he is engaged to his love and his career is flourishing. Then one day he is thrown in prison and he doesn't know why. During his time held captive, he gains new skills and learns about a secret treasure. Upon his escape, he gets the riches and commits himself to vengeance on those that imprisoned him.
I was surprised to find how controversial this book was. I can't stop talking about this story though so please share in my love of this epic revenge story!!
