I am using the Buchla 208c music Easel Command along with the Make Noise 0-ctrl as a stand in for the 218 touch controller and wanted to explore some uses of major timbral changes using the polarity switch and modulation slider. I am live patching and using annotations to try to teach some of my thought process when I'm making these improvisations. This is entirely live and unrehearsed. My goal was to see how many textures I could create from a simple arpeggio, and if I could break it down enough where the pitch sort of disappears into texture. I found cross modulation to be especially useful and was able to create many metallic sounds. I am using the west coast technique of starting with something and spinning it out like a centrifuge. I'm processing the sound through a few eurorack modules that I will detail below. Hopefully this camera angle also helps you learn something!

Patch Notes:
Buchla 208c Easel Command audio to 4ms Tapographic Delay to Make Noise X-pan controlled by Intellijel Quadrax and Tangle Quartet. Audio from Eurorack output to Boss RC-5 loop pedal and Eventide H9 reverb.
Live patching:
Random voltage to timbre and sequencer steps
Sequential voltage to pitch
Envelope generator to low pass gate 1 and pitch of modulation oscillator
Pulsar to low pass gate 2
