I rotoscoped some waves on Lake Michigan and I remembered just how difficult it is to animate water. Obviously this is an especially easy approach since it just mimics so much real life details. But I tried to incorporate transparent layers and other things that more traditional people do. It was really tedious though. I want to try another shot like this without the rotoscope animation.

I made this in Clip Studio Paint Ex and color graded it in Da Vinci Resolve.
