October of 2021 was a really rough time for me, and this video helped me overcome that. Thank you to everyone who watched this and expressed their concerns, I really needed that. Anyways, onto the original description:
I'm in the very painful process of trying to move on from what happened to me in August. I thought I was doing okay, but when I made Not Our Kind, I realized just how much pain I was actually in and now that's all I've been feeling for all of October. Just all of the pain from August to early October came at me all at once and it was massively overwhelming. It's left me extremely depressed.
This scene came about when I was doing Parts Therapy with myself. Here's an overview of Parts Therapy:

I set out to turn it into a trauma narrative to help me cope with these extreme feelings of pain, and I'm sharing it because I need to reduce the power it has over me. Writing and performing this was extremely relieving, all be it very emotional and hard. And yes, I am also sharing it because I need to stop being so fucking arrogant and admit that I've actually been badly hurt, because I have. And while yes, I am an adult and I've been doing my best to ignore most of the comments and slander I've been hearing about, I can't deny any longer how hurt I feel. I went from being accepted, to that acceptance being pulled away so quickly, it made me question if it was even real.

I know it seems kinda pompous to call this a short film as its just three shots with nothing happening, but thats what it is I guess. If someone lets me know what else I should call it, then Ill change it.
Well if youve come here to the description, allow me to give you more backstory on this bridge. Im gonna be talking about suicide pretty heavily, so heres your content warning.
As stated in the video, this bridge is a place Ive come to multiple times in my life to debate suicide. Ive always said that Ive only ever truly attempted once in my life, but when I revisited this bridge to make this video, it was in that moment that I realized that every single time I came to this bridge (yes, including this occasion), it was a suicide attempt. Because every time I went there, it was with the intention with giving myself a place to kill myself. Like theres no sugar coating this, thats what it was. I honestly thought that 2014 was the last time I did this, but I kept going there in 2015 too (discovered that based on my photographs as I always took my camera with me). Theres probably a lot of dates that I missed when I visited this bridge, but my memory of 2012 to 2015 is so foggy. I am terrified of this bridge. Even just driving over it gives me anxiety. And yes I know. The bridges drop is not that far, and it would not kill me. But the undercurrents from the river probably would (which is why diving off of it is prohibited because people have died jumping off of it).
The videos angle is set up to be my height basically, so you are literally looking at this from my point of view, and thats my goal with this video. I want to put you in my shoes for a moment. That lost feeling of just staring out at the empty waters with nothing in your soul. Thats why nothing happens, nothing is supposed to happen in these moments. You are still and silent, but deep inside, you are rotting. Your mind is splintering from the inside, but no one sees that. No one feels it, no one acknowledges it. Its just you, the water, the sun, the trees, the insects. You feel nothing, which is why you want to escape because you want to feel something again, anything. Hopefully I have conveyed that with the cinematography, color, and music. If not, then I guess I cant quite get my vision across. Thats not your fault.
I made this to feel less alone, to share my experience with someone else. What its like to come to this place and desire death. Because I come here and want to kill myself because I am alone.

I was never quite satisfied with the sound design in Part 5. Considering its a pretty important part (where the plot officially kicks in), it was pretty terrible compared to the later parts. Today I was just tinkering with it and ended up making it a lot better. I also re-recorded Orintheous lines with my new microphone too.
