Once I had a good beat, I reached out to FamilyJules7x to lend his acoustic guitar skills to the track. Jules and I have been friends for years now, so it was so awesome to work together on this song.
Island Getaway... this song is one of my new favorites!!
This track is personal to me because I performed both the drum part and the bassline! I usually program my parts with MIDI or samples, so this was a new way of doing things for sure.
I was... a bit out of my comfort zone. But I'm very happy with the results!
Hope you enjoy a little tour of my modest island for visuals. I've been planting lots of fruit trees lately, I started with cherries but now I have 'em all!
